This policy explains what personal information we collect through ssdaavoice.org, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. SSDAA is a nonprofit organization incorporated in the State of Tennessee, United States, and is recognized by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service as a tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Information We Collect

We only collect information that you choose to give us, plus limited technical data that is created automatically when you browse the site.

Information you give us

Donations. When you make a gift, we collect your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, donation amount, and the cause you selected. Payment card details are entered directly into our payment processor’s secure form — SSDAA never sees or stores your full card number.
Membership and volunteer sign-ups. Name, email address, phone number, country or city of residence, professional background, and any interests or skills you share with us.
Contact and inquiry forms. Name, email address, phone number, reason for contact, and the content of your message.
Newsletter subscriptions. Your email address.
Events and programs. Registration details you provide when you sign up for a forum, town hall, or dialogue session.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our servers record standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you visit, and the date and time of your visit. This is used for security, troubleshooting, and understanding which content is useful to our community.

What We Do Not Do

We do not sell, rent, trade, or lease your personal information to anyone. We do not share donor lists with other organizations for their own marketing purposes.

Who We Share Information With

Service providers. Trusted vendors who help us operate — payment processors, email delivery services, website hosting, and accounting support. They may only use your information to perform services for SSDAA.

Donor Privacy and Recognition

You may request that your gift remain anonymous, and we will honor that request in any public listing or report. You can also ask us at any time to stop sending you fundraising appeals while continuing to receive other updates — or to stop contacting you entirely.

SSDAA serves a global diaspora community. Our website and records are hosted in the United States, and by using this site or sharing information with us you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your country.

Children’s Privacy

Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be announced on our website.
